Our Mision | Our Vision | Our Values

In 1949, Dr. Jottin Cury established his law office in Barahona after he was governor of Azua and Elías Piña. Eight years later, his firm moved to Santo Domingo, home setting in the old El Conde street, and while serving his new customers, he worked in publishing his first book of legal forms annotated Dominican Civil Procedure.

Decapitated the Trujillo regime, he suspended his practice to devote all his time to the struggles waged by a people who rose to freedom stumbling. Then served as Press Secretary to the State Council established at 1962 and three years later assumed the responsibility of being the Secretary of State of International Affairs in the constitutional government headed by Colonel Francisco Caamaño.

During the 1966-1970 period, Dr. Jottin Cury reaffirmed from one of their legislative chambers democracy, threatened more than once by the tracks of autocracy continued darkening the national horizon. The seat leaped to the university, and her stewardship of the oldest school of the New World, whose classrooms were populated then of police bullets.

Still those stormy years, but had marked the beginning of a transformation process, mainly in the political and economic order, which pushed the Dominican society not only to accommodate the emerging reality, but also to update outmoded regulations that do not is consistent with the contingencies of the times.

That's when Dr. Jottin Cury decided to step away from the public affairs to devote himself to his profession again, but renitent to contemplate with indifference the ruin of its legal system, he began not only to make suggestions that were helping to gradually reform the discipline governing the coexistence of different interests and passions, but to lift his law firm. And this is how for over three decades, we have devoted to the study and implementation of the law, always having for limit which is contrary to the dignity, and motivated by the desire to harmonize the coexistence of economic and social relations with our legislation and prevent the injustices that result in financial loss to society.
